Big Red Back to School Apples!

Why are apples the symbol for Back to School? Because August and September are the peak of apple season! We went apple picking for my birthday last year! Hello Virgos!

Birthdays and Back to School are celebratory events that often come with fun traditions. Things are different this year. The uncertainty of distance learning, the threat of illness and another 2020 curve ball can easily become overwhelming. We can not allow fear and uncertainty to steal our joy!

My favorite back to school tradition is the first day of school front porch picture!! Each year I write on the same IKEA chalk board and each year I’m sure to hang a charm on my door. I let the boys pick out their own clothes and bribe them to smile with treats. This tradition is extremely important to me.

The big red Back to School apple is our new August & September heirloom door charm. Red is a very energetic color and from the street this big apple says, “Whether we’re going to school or staying home we are EXCITED about this season and we are going to make the BEST of it!”

Heather Opal Original Apples and solid Apples will be available until this Friday, August 21st. Whether you are decorating your home school room or sharing your excitement with the world by hanging your apple on the front door you are showing your kiddos how to take an unfortunate situation and still find ways to create joy and positive memories!

More is “caught than is taught.” Be the flint that ignites joy.
